The first product exclusion group granted on December 28, 2018 for List # 1 of the China Section 301 tariffs was in effect for one year and it has expired. Customs identifies this group by Harmonized Tariff Schedule number 9903.88.05. However, the United States Representative has granted an additional one year extension to two HTS numbers, and 4 specific product descriptions with their corresponding HTS numbers for this group. The exclusion original granted to the other 25 products is no longer in effect.
U.S. Customs informed the trade on December 30, 2019 that the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) system has not been updated to recognize the extended date for HTS#9903.88.05.
